Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. She is widely known for starting modern scientific studies of eyewitness accounts from children's memories as well as the role of children victimization in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded several awards and grants. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around all over the world on policy and research relating to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She also serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of numerous professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
