Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. She has recorded several high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that are widely loved. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional acknowledgement. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in the attic of her home, then becoming enthralled by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes encouraged her to use music for development of her own, not for the purpose of making money or to pursue to pursue an interest. She began writing lyrics of her own. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her most favored songwriters. She decided to start performing her songs publicly when her mother suggested that they can help other people, not gain acclaim for her work but to make people see around them realize the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. The piano was her first instrument at age six and creating music when she was nine. Her family didn't have any idea until she was fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. She claims that she just likes to write songs. She says that music is her most preferred way of feeling anything.
